That said, as referenced above, I have heard from many older whisky aficionados that Johnnie Walker in years past was much better; it was actually interesting whisky with depth Scotch and other spirits don't age in the bottle. Providing the cap/cork has not disintegrated in the bottle (which I am dealing with right now with another one) It should taste exactly like when it left the factory with a blend of malts no less than 12 years old.
